Principle

The 7th Principle is PRINCIPLE. No, this isn't a slapstick Abbot and Costello routine. Principle is an action as well as a noun. To practice Principle is to remind ourselves that all of the aspects of God, the Seven Principles, are reliable and consistent. This in itself helps us to remember to activate the first Six Principles.

A physical example of a principle is Gravity. Gravity is a reliable, consistent principle. We use our understanding of its properties in order to play sports, lose or gain weight, even fly. It does not play favorites. If Hitler and Mother Thersea jumped off the Empire State Building together, both would suffer the same consequences. We understand and rely on those properties to act the same way all the time. Wouldn't it be disconcerting if one day we threw a basketball into the net, making a basket, and the next day, the ball failed to come downward at all, flying away into the atmosphere. We'd never be able to practice getting better because the properties would change all the time.

This is the meaning of a Principle. It is 100% consistent and works the same way all the time, for everyone. By realizing this, we avoid wasting time and energy trying to decide if Truth, Life, Love, etc. will work for us. We know they will because they are Principles. Practicing this principle, PRINCIPLE, is to remember that all the previous six Principles are 100% reliable and can be activiated with confidence. The word confidence means "with faith."

We practice this Principle by exercising faith in, and activating the other six. That's all there is to it.
